Can you show me where to hide? My f-list is simply inundated with posts about it!

I actually find my online life is more insulated - it's WORK that's going to drive me insaaaane.

*twitches along with you*

And we're both from states where there is far too much crap to be slung, aren't we?

It was BAD ENOUGH having Stevens, who happens to be the senior Republican senator, who's probably going to be convicted and get re-elected anyway...

Are they talking much yet about the independent investigator the state legislature has investigating Palin? Cheese Louise.

And I'm sorry I'm being ignorant, but I'm not sure if you're referring to Minnesota or New York (you're originally from NY, right?), because none of the other three Presidential/Vice Presidential candidates are from there - or is one of them from there originally?

Convicted AND re-elected. That's all kinds of special.

MN is nuts now because Al Franken is running for congress. And last election we had Ellison running in my district- the first Muslim running for federal office in the US. Lots of press in both cases.

I'm sick of the election already.

Oh, that's right, I forgot all about Franken.

I made the mistake of breathing a sigh of relief after our primary, which was just this week. Silly girl.

You can share mine. Or the blanket fort. The blanket fort always has room for more.

I actually have a loveseat with nice firm cushions that would make for EXCELLENT blanket fort construction.

You can all come and live over here until it's over!

Are you offering up a guest room? Because I swear that's tempting. You have NO IDEA how nice it was to go to Canada for a little while in the middle of the Lewinsky/Starr mess.

I was living in China - yes, the other side of the world - during the 2000 election crisis and I was SO glad. I could get as much or as little news as I wanted, as opposed to not being able to avoid it, ever. Of course I had to explain the Electoral College to a lot of Chinese, but it was worth it.

Election night coverage itself was a trip, if only to see Dan Rather kind of lose it at 2 am. I wasn't working at the time so I got to stay up and see a lot of it. But the rest of it - yeah, China sounds good.

I swear, if I had heard the news earlier I might not have come into work today. SHUT UP ALREADY. To make it even more fun some of my coworkers have their out-of-state family calling them.
