Snagged from [livejournal.com profile] _medley_. This is the "Omnivore's Hundred" as compiled by Very Good Taste.

1) Copy this list into your blog or journal, including these instructions.
2) Bold all the items you’ve eaten.
3) Cross out any items that you would never consider eating.
4) Optional extra: Post a comment at the original Omnivore's Hundred blog entry linking to your results. (You can also go here to find links to explanations of the less-identifiable foods I anal-retentively copied over the original list, HTML and all, so they're the same links).

I'm looking at your list and realizing I should have crossed off more things. Sweetbread and kaolin among them. And horse. I didn't actually cross off horse, did I?

Hee, no, you didn't. But there was commentary, so no one is going to think you'd gladly dine on Mr. Ed or something. :)

There are probably a couple of more items I could have crossed off but I pretty much went with the ones that produced a strong initial reaction.

Hee about Mr. Ed. ...It's kind of funny when I actually think about it: Cows? Yum. Deer? OK. Sheep? I suppose. Horse? Heck, no.

Wow, you with all the linking!

And the Wikipedia award for the most unnecessary statement goes to...

Edible flowers are flowers that can be eaten.

Oh, the linking wasn't any effort, really. I just copied the list from the source of the page. I had to do a find/replace to delete the extra breaks I didn't need since LJ puts those in automatically, but it was pretty much just copy and paste.

Every once in a while I forget how bad Wikipedia can be. You should take a look at the entry for steak tartare.
