The (TV) state of the phoenix

I happened to notice that this was going to be my 500th entry, which I realize is pretty small compared to a lot of people (especially after six and a half years), but I figured I should try and make it a little special. So, a round-up of what currently airing shows that I'm watching, not counting the shows on break with an exception or two.
Monday
Lie to Me - Oh God I am so grateful for the existence of Tim Roth. Occasionally the writing on this drops down to being a bit workmanlike, but even then it's worth watching Cal just being himself.
The Good Guys - I know this just went on break but I have to mention it. It's like this awesomely sloppy drunk version of Life on Mars with one of them being dragged forward through time kicking and screaming. I swear I want to bake Bradley Whitford a cake. Plus Colin Hanks really does not suck, and occasionally I even forget that OMG it's the spawn of Tom Hanks.
Rizzoli & Isles - Not great (and last night's episode contained massive fail I'll rant about elsewhere) but it's TWO FEMALE LEADS and they're not sharing with any male leads, and they talk to each other and sometimes it's not even about boys, though it usually is. Also, femslash ahoy!
Tuesday
White Collar - Duh. Needs more Elizabeth, but I realize that can't be helped. Am appreciating Mozzie's screen time this season, and I believe we may get more June soon.
Covert Affairs - Wow that's a lot of really pretty people. And they know they're pretty, which has its ups and downs. But occasionally they know when they're not so good at other things, which helps. The opening credits need to go. Also, I had an epiphany watching the pilot - a women driving a car tactically is so very, very hot. I remember noticing this with Angela Bassett in Strange Days but I don't think I really understood it until now.
Warehouse 13 - Joy! Loving Claudia even more this season.
Wednesday
My "free" night.
Thursday
Burn Notice - Ah, yum. I think I like Jesse.
Royal Pains - Guilty pleasure. Needs more Tucker.
Friday
Eureka - Joy! Not entirely thrilled with this season's main plotline, but I'm enjoying getting more Henry.
Haven - OK, this isn't great writing, but I like some of the characters. Also, the Nathan/Duke vibe is smokin' hot, even though much of the time it's probably because Nathan would actually like to set Duke on fire.
Saturday
Being Human - The second series is a little "eh" but I'm giving it time.
The Bridge - OK, canceled already (in the US) but still alive elsewhere. It had potential. I haven't had a chance to see how well it lived up to that potential.
Sunday
Leverage - *happy sigh*
Rubicon - OK, this is a little difficult for me to actually watch since it's on the same time as Leverage and repeats when I'm watching other things and I don't have any kind of DVR. But I like its mind and I think it's worth the effort.
True Blood - This is somewhere between a guilty pleasure and a habit I know is bad for me but I just can't quit. I have no defense.
Sometimes I really want to smack those people who boast about the fact that they never watch TV. It's not all high quality content but it's hardly all junk. Can you imagine someone boasting that they never watch movies or never read books?
