So I saw 9 in theater number 9 of the multiplex on 9-9-09.

Sadly it was the 10th movie I've seen in a theater this year.

Hubby's been trying to convince me to go see that, what did you think?

It's enjoyable if you're OK with it being more about the journey than the destination. I liked it - I thought it raised some interesting thoughts about the different kinds of creation and the scary machine monsters were good and scary.

I probably need to see it again with less of an audience: why yes, there are reasons it's rated PG-13. Just because it's an animated movie - hey, see that animated dead body? (There were a couple of them, but no faces.) Idiots. It's probably OK for kids that are like 8 or older (but I'm not a parent and haven't spent a lot of time with children in a while, so take that advice with a grain of salt).

I think this is going to be my last release-day viewing for a while. I saw Gamer Friday and I think a significant chunk of the audience didn't appreciate the irony of some of the more appalling parts.

Ah, interesting, thanks. I've never seen a movie opening day (or weekend for that matter) it must be quite the experience!
