So first of all, I've pretty much been offline since Friday, so please forgive me for not knowing what you've been up to. I will try to catch up soon.

Secondly, I CAN HAZ A TV. In some respects it was ridiculously expensive (my dad said he paid as much for his fifty-ish inch model as I did for my 32"), but when I hook my laptop up to it? Totally worth the money.

Unsurprisingly I've spent the last few days watching a lot of TV. I got to catch the first two episodes of s3 Primeval Saturday and thanks to a mini-marathon on Sunday I think I'm mostly caught up with In Plain Sight. Wow does that show make me cry a lot. Then honestly the last two days have been mostly flotsam and jetsam, but that's OK. I've realized I don't have a lot of time to catch up with Burn Notice before the next season starts on June 4, eep. In some respects I'm just going to have to consider the last six months as Lost Time, but I'll catch up with the majority of it eventually.

Also? I get to watch Chica again!

So what have y'all been up to?

Congratulations on the TV! And it's *so* cool that you can hook your computer up to it. I've been saving for a DVD player with a USB port so it can play .avi files... though I should probably check it can still connect to my 12-year-old TV.

Chica! I was trying to remember to tell you, the woman we visited in the Las Vegas area had a TV on for her grandkids, and it was on Sprout, and I saw (heard) Chica! I was excited. :)

I've been catching up with Primeval, too. I'm impatient for more!

Yeah, I'm unable at this point to get an HD cable box and my DVD player is pretty old, but as long as I can hook my laptop up, I'm good!

Ohhhh, Chica was so cute yesterday. They're talking about stage magic this week and yesterday they were sort of dressing her up as a rabbit, with ears and a nose. Except apparently she was a fairy rabbit as she had these gauzy pink wings - I missed the first part of the segment, so I'm not sure what that was all about.

On Primeval I like that they're getting into the idea of myths relating to ancient animals, but I hope they don't get away from the science too much.

A fairy rabbit? With that squeaker? ::dies::

but I hope they don't get away from the science too much.

Science? There's science?

Just kidding. At least they *say* they're scientists. :) And the times I checked last year, they did have the animals coming from the correct eras. I'm intrigued by the myth stuff too. On one hand, it kind of comes out of nowhere and just feels like the producers wanted to throw another element at the premise, but on the other, it's kind of plausible within the story. Plus, myths! Archaeology! Daniel Jackson Yay.
