As much as the period when Bruce was a young man training to be Batman has been covered, the period before that is largely left alone, and it's such fertile ground. I'm a little sorry that Nolan chose not to bring in Leslie Thompkins - she's actually been pretty good at times at calling Bruce on his shit. But if I had to choose between Leslie and Rachel, I'm actually not sorry that we got Rachel.
