phoenix64: parker holding an orange and smiling (ninerose squee!)
OMG, how much do I love Being Human? SO MUCH. Even if I only got six episodes and some idiots at BBC America don't understand the difference between a teaser and a spoiler (every single possibly surprising moment in the show gets shown in the teasers at the start of the commercial break) I still love this show oodles and can't wait for more.

Duuuuudes. George/Russell Tovey may have spent an inordinate amount of time on the show screaming like a small girl child, but in the finale he Brought. It. Home. Annie/Lenora Crichlow was just amazing (even if she did have the good fortune to die in the most versatile piece of clothing in existence) and there's so much thinky stuff in my head when it comes to Annie. Mitchell/Aidan Turner is in fact smokin' hot and needs to spend some time tied to my bed, but the best part of him on the show was the amount of time he was happy, genuinely happy. It wasn't that he never properly brooded like the tortured vampire he was, but most of the time he was the happiest person there, and he wanted everyone else to be happy too.

I haven't watched the failed pilot, the one where they decided to go in a a different direction and replaced two of their three leads, but I was looking at the quotes for it on imdb and found this, which I've decided must absolutely be considered canon:

John Mitchell: So, you've just arrived at Hogwarts, which house do they put you in?
George Sands: I'd like to say Gryffindor, but they're supposed to be brave. What's the other one? Ravenclaw, does that have a characteristic?
John Mitchell: I think they're brainy. You could be in Ravenclaw.
Annie: I quite fancy Hufflepuff actually. I've always thought in Hufflepuff they just spend the day making stuff with safety scissors and glitter.
George Sands: What about you?
John Mitchell: I think that they'd say. It's probably best if you just stay in the canteen for the next five years.
Annie: Does anyone ever 'choose' Slytherin?
George Sands: No, because that would be like saying 'I'm a sociopath.'

Safety scissors and glitter. I LOVE YOU.

Also, quote from an actual aired episode:'

Mitchell: I never know with you whether it's Jewish guilt or werewolf guilt.
George: They're pretty much the same thing.

*hugs my show*
