phoenix64: parker holding an orange and smiling (dS rubber ducks of subtext)
OK, I'm beginning to think I haven't truly appreciated the rubber duckies of due South. I knew about the ones in "Burning Down the House" and "Spy vs. Spy", but those were significant quantities of duckies. Now I'm watching the beginning of "Strange Bedfellows" where they psychiatrist and Thatcher are talking to Fraser about the inkblots, and on a shelf behind Fraser - a lone rubber ducky!

WHAT DOES IT ALL MEAN?!

Also, I watched "Some Like It Red" again recently and a) I never noticed before that on my DVD menu the title is actually misprinted as "Some Like It Hot" and b) does it at least partially pass the Bechdel test if one of the two women talking about something other than a man is actually a man in drag?
phoenix64: parker holding an orange and smiling (slippery slope)
Since Aaron Eckhart's star is on the rise again, I find myself hoping that Thursday will get a re-release on DVD. I do sometimes love that kind of absurd violence, plus it has Thomas Jane being mightily abused.

*sigh* Well, I keep hoping.
