Fox has cancelled Human Target, Lie to Me and The Chicago Code. Those were the only things I was still watching on the Fox network with any regularity!

House had already started to lose me even before they turned Cuddy into House's Kleenex and Bones has become something I have a hard time wanting watch for a while, especially since "The Doctor in the Photo".

*whine*

Quote from an interview with Matt Miller, the showrunner for s2 of Human Target regarding his changing the theme song:

I was horrified that people at Comic-Con were going to hunt me down because I changed the theme song. I did not know who I was messing with, believe me.

I wasn't thrilled about the theme change but I'm still more displeased about the s2 premiere Eastern Religion FAIL and a slight watering down of Guerrero - Guerrero is not a threat, Guerrero is a promise. Overall though it was a good season.

Fuck me, a line from Human Target made me tear up.

"Don't you have enough scars on you to know that things heal?"

Damn you Winston.

Hey everyone, I'd like to remind you that Human Target returns tonight. If you haven't watched it before you really should give it a chance; it's nice frothy fun like the best 80's action movies, with an awesome supporting cast. Which now includes Indira Varma! \o/

While I agree in principle with limiting personal internet use at work, I really hated not being able to get on LJ this afternoon and squee about the fact that THEY RENEWED HUMAN TARGET!

So my plan was to come home, watch Human Target and then catch up with you guys a bit in the hour between Human Target and In Plain Sight. The problem with that is I got home from work ten minutes before In Plain Sight started. I really need to get a DVR.

On the other hand, In Plain Sight is back! Oh Mary, my Goddess of Cranky how I've missed you. *squishes Mary* Somehow she manages to be even more awesome than she was before.

Me go sleepy time now.

I did something a little odd tonight: I skipped Criminal Minds in favor of watching Human Target. And I'm pretty OK with it.

Yes, the Sunday premiere of Human Target was a bit bland, but it had just a little something that I thought deserved a chance. Plus I apparently will now follow Jackie Earle Haley anywhere. (Incidentally, this apparent stereotype casting of Jackie Earle Haley as psychotic comic characters is something I heartily approve of. Cletus Kasady/Carnage sounds nice, but I'm open to suggestions. Christopher Nolan, I'm looking at you.) Anyway, tonight's show showed more promise, a little more complexity in the storyline, and of course some juicy hints at backstory. You'll have to forgive me, I have zero familiarity with the original comic. Which is a little strange for me, but anyway.

Besides, he's more than a bit MacGyver and I am a child of the 80's after all. It probably won't last but I think I'm going to stick with it.
