OK, I know Primeval is just fluff, but that didn't keep me from actually shrieking aloud when Abby said, "Girls don't talk comics."
Uh yes, quite a few of them do. Some of them are pretty cute, too.
More importantly: hey, Hodges and Haines, HOW COULD YOU HAVE ABBY SAY THAT?! How many comic-reading young girls did you just make feel a smidgen more insecure about being themselves by that comment? You idiots.
Even more importantly: that's hardly even a real question. Wolverine, of course.
Oh, and about that reveal concerning Stephen and Helen: I called that weeks ago, but the truth is part of me thought it was the fan goggles.

I didn't have access to comics shops when I was a kid or a teenager - I just got my comics at bookstores. But when I finally did discover them in my early twenties, my local one welcomed me with open arms.

However, when I went to college? *headdesk* There was a HUGE comic book store a few blocks from campus, I walked over and picked up several comics after perusing awhile and then to the counter to pay for them. The guy just stared at me. I pulled some money out before I realized he hadn't even begun ringing them up (ah the days where you could buy a lot of comics and not spend more than $10....) Finally he said "you're buying comics?"
"Um yes" was my oh so intelligent reply
"But you're a girl." (Well, I was 18, but still)
"You're point..." I was honestly confused.
The guy stuttered and stared for a bit more before one of the other customers yelled out "For god sakes (whatever the clerks name was) quit staring at her boobs and ring her up!" The clerk turned bright red and started ringing up the comics and the customer realized what he said because he muttered to me "Sorry. I mean they're nice boobs, great boobs, I mean, hey, Daredevil- you read Daredevil?"
It was funny in a sad way. But we wound up having an interesting conversation about Matt Murdock (daredevil) as a result.
