When geekdoms collide

This is so nifty I almost can't stand it. For those of you who watched The Dresden Files TV show, [livejournal.com profile] shiplizard has posted something pretty cool in [livejournal.com profile] skull_boy_love. Bob's magical writing is apparently not entirely gobbledygook but a modified version of the APL programming language, and all the spells are valid APL programs.

The resurrection spell? Is the program for Conway's Game of Life (Wikipedia link).

WHY DID THEY HAVE TO CANCEL THIS SHOW?!

The Gelth, yes. You know, when I first read this I was thinking, well, they were more straight science gaseous beings, weren't they? But their communication with Gwyneth did add that magical element to things. Hmmm.

Hee, you know what? I need an icon with Winnie the Pooh in thinking mode. You know, where he's poking his head? :) *goes off to look for graphics*
