This is so nifty I almost can't stand it. For those of you who watched The Dresden Files TV show, shiplizard has posted something pretty cool in skull_boy_love. Bob's magical writing is apparently not entirely gobbledygook but a modified version of the APL programming language, and all the spells are valid APL programs.

The resurrection spell? Is the program for Conway's Game of Life (Wikipedia link).

Yes, the collection of the DF comics is scheduled to come out October 14. There will also be a novella with illustrations by Mike Mignola two weeks after that.

It's coming out from Subterranean Press, but Amazon's price is relatively reasonable. It's called Backup and it's a change-up, told from Thomas's POV instead of Harry's.

The Gelth, yes. You know, when I first read this I was thinking, well, they were more straight science gaseous beings, weren't they? But their communication with Gwyneth did add that magical element to things. Hmmm.
