In which I bitch back a bit about the complaints about A2A
First off, all you "Oh my God! They killed Sammy! You bastards!" people: do you think that the mention that no body was found might not be RELEVANT?! Considering some of the underlying themes of the show, d'ya think that maybe "Oh, we just left him up in Manchester," might not have been the best way to go about things?
Good freakin' God I can not believe how literal some people seem to need to be.
"It was better the first time around because we didn't know what Sam was going through; with Alex we know and even more annoying, she knows!"
Really? Do you really think you have an absolute understanding of the situation? Then what the hell have the show's creators been talking about when they mention going deeper and that there's more going on than people have even guessed at? Do you really think that Alex has an absolute understanding of what's going on? Is it possible that maybe Alex just thinks she understands? Is it possible that perhaps we can discern from what we've seen so far of Alex that she might be the kind of person who very much needs to believe she understands? I can embrace the idea that Alex is the type of person who can't deal with ambiguity, but seeing it out there in you lot is really annoying. Go watch something that doesn't ask any mental flexibility from you; we'll both be much happier.
However, those of you complaining about the fact that there wasn't even an acknowledgment of Annie? I totally agree, and I hope that will be remedied soon.
Now, how many of you have seen the slightly spoilery photos from the third episode and want to squee with me about them?

I could have sworn I've seen others, but maybe people are just getting around to watching. I'm three weeks behind on Torchwood right now...soon to be four. 0_o
