ETA: And then, there's the people who sink into deep depression and stop interacting/writing at all; that's awful too. So, yeah, there's not one single response to it; everyone's different, and while there's definitely a link between "mental illness" (sorry, I don't like that term but can't think of a better one in a hurry) and creativity (just look at the list of famous artists/musicians throughout history, and research their behavior) it's difficult to determine what the link is, exactly. Is the creativity due to, for example, the depression? Or due to the drugs and alcohol they generally consumed due to the depression? On the other hand, what might they have created if they hadn't been impaired?
