I happened to notice that this was going to be my 500th entry, which I realize is pretty small compared to a lot of people (especially after six and a half years), but I figured I should try and make it a little special. So, a round-up of what currently airing shows that I'm watching, not counting the shows on break with an exception or two.

Lie to Me - Oh God I am so grateful for the existence of Tim Roth. Occasionally the writing on this drops down to being a bit workmanlike, but even then it's worth watching Cal just being himself.
The Good Guys - I know this just went on break but I have to mention it. It's like this awesomely sloppy drunk version of Life on Mars with one of them being dragged forward through time kicking and screaming. I swear I want to bake Bradley Whitford a cake. Plus Colin Hanks really does not suck, and occasionally I even forget that OMG it's the spawn of Tom Hanks.
Rizzoli & Isles - Not great (and last night's episode contained massive fail I'll rant about elsewhere) but it's TWO FEMALE LEADS and they're not sharing with any male leads, and they talk to each other and sometimes it's not even about boys, though it usually is. Also, femslash ahoy!

You didn't think I wasn't going to cut any of this, did you? )

I'm beginning to realize that Mark Sheppard really is everywhere. The Chiller network has been running ads for an X-Files run they're going to start soon and there's a clip of him on it. Firefly (which is when I remember first really noticing him), BSG, Warehouse 13, Chuck, Leverage, Burn Notice, The Invisible Man, Special Unit 2, Jake 2.0 and the list goes on.

So if God is everywhere, maybe Mark Sheppard is God.

I'm baaack

So first of all, I've pretty much been offline since Friday, so please forgive me for not knowing what you've been up to. I will try to catch up soon.

Secondly, I CAN HAZ A TV. In some respects it was ridiculously expensive (my dad said he paid as much for his fifty-ish inch model as I did for my 32"), but when I hook my laptop up to it? Totally worth the money.

Unsurprisingly I've spent the last few days watching a lot of TV. I got to catch the first two episodes of s3 Primeval Saturday and thanks to a mini-marathon on Sunday I think I'm mostly caught up with In Plain Sight. Wow does that show make me cry a lot. Then honestly the last two days have been mostly flotsam and jetsam, but that's OK. I've realized I don't have a lot of time to catch up with Burn Notice before the next season starts on June 4, eep. In some respects I'm just going to have to consider the last six months as Lost Time, but I'll catch up with the majority of it eventually.

Also? I get to watch Chica again!

So what have y'all been up to?

Oded Fehr on Burn Notice. Guh.

I don't care if the slash goggles do need a bit of forcing. Totally worth it.

Burn Notice is back tonight!!!

You know, not long ago I read some advice that if you're traveling to a foreign country where visitors frequently encounter intestinal bugs, eat some locally-made yogurt and it will introduce the local flora to your system. So it is now personal canon that this is why Michael is constantly eating yogurt.

First of all, The Sarah Connor Chronicles has been renewed! Yay!!! Now [ profile] fan_eunice can watch the episodes she's saved up and squee with me! Though it's not all squeeful, but we'll finally be able to talk about that too. Note: I hope that at some point I can see the phrase "squee with me" and not instantly associate it with Maureen (from Rent) asking people to "moo with me".

Reruns of Burn Notice and new episodes soon, yay. Michael Westen's life is such yummy dysfunctional crazysauce. USA Networks shows can really appreciate the 'fun' in 'dysfunctional' sometimes; I know I'm looking forward to In Plain Sight - "I love you like an eight dollar whore." *giggle*

What are looking forward to on the TV horizon?
